The Apostille

As the increasing convergence of economies among different countries and regions, more and more countries ask for apostille to increase their credibility of transnational documents. Apostille, with the full name of “Hague Convention of Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents” (Hague Apostille Convention), refers to the Certificate issued by the government departments (High Court or Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to certify the original certificate issuer (the notary office or the notary public). The apostille/certificate does not certify the authenticity of a document content, but it will confirm the authenticity of the signature, seal or stamp on a public document is genuine. Apostille is valid among the member countries and generally accepted by the international society.
